Ballistic/Trauma inserts
will fit most concealed carrier front trauma pockets and are the same
level IIIa
rated construction as our vests. They are FAR superior to the 5x8 "trauma inserts" that come with concealed vests that are made of a few layers of leftover kevlar. You can also put these in your ACU/BDU pants and shirt pockets for more protection (and great in place of regular knee or elbow pads), or in your cumberbun pockets.  These 5x8" soft inserts are also perfect for your side plate carrier pockets if you use SAPI plates that are "In Conjunction" plates that require soft armor to get there rated protection level. These are level IIIa and fragmentation rated construction. Price is for 1. Discounts shown for 2 or more.
They reduce trauma from gunshots, fists, steering wheel, and other blows. A heavy blunt force trauma can stop the heart without any penetration, so get this extra protection in the heart area.  Besides being light, these inserts are soft and comfortable and just over 1/4" thick.  Made of military grade kevlar  and spectra for better ballistics and less blunt trauma and less weight.

General information on ballistics: NIJ testing is done on size small through large vest panels. Anything smaller is not tested and is not certified. Our smaller items are made of the exact same construction as our hybrid plus vest panels and are listed as IIIa construction. Our hybrid plus IIIa vest panel has been has been tested by H.P. White and found to pass the
NIJ IIIa Standard-0101.06
body armor. .
