1973 Mini Classic Mini 1000 Left Hand Drive Rare ***

1973 Morris mini 1000 left hand drive
There were only 1,000 LHD Mini's built-in 1973 at the Morris Mini built-in Longbridge, England Assy Plant This very original unmolested Mini has an exterior with slight wear on the paint but still shines after buffing. A fairly rare left-hand drive edition in the USA, but was exported from France in the '90s by a U.S. Federal Employee.
The tan interior is complete and has been cleaned and re-dyed. The carpets are original black, the dash is in great condition and the dash rear panel behind the gauges has been replaced, the interior is in good original condition with the original steering wheel, gauges and switches.
The Mini is medium blue exterior color in nice condition and the front and rear of the badge are in place and also original condition. The front grills and the bumpers are original and all finishing details that a classic mini of this series should have.
This Mini does run and drive. I have put a jumper wire from solenoid to the coil and starts straight away and runs smoothly. You will need to replace some of the wiring. I have removed the forward brake pads as wheel brake cylinders will need to be rebuilt or replaced. Hand brakes work well on the rear and this is how I have been moving the car around.
Wheels are steel and retro from the era with 165/70/10 tires and have fender flares and lower plastic upper rocker trims. The Under is fairly rust-free, but rust on the rear “subframes” is noted, floors are great as are rockers.
