Vintage OO Hornby Thomas And Friends James Passenger Train Set w/ original Box.
This is a vintage Hornby produced OO scale train set of James the #5 Red Engine from the “Railway Series”, also known as the “Thomas the Tank Engine” franchise.
This set includes James and two express passenger coaches.
Please note this is a working electric model train. I tested it just before I listed it on my test track and it ran fine.
Also note that Hornby’s practice at the time was to place the electric motor for tender engines in the tender itself. However, the electrical system requires both halves to be coupled together to work, as the current return is via “locomotive” wheels.
The set came with some track originally, but the person who originally purchased it removed it some time ago.
The box has some tares at the corners and there was a small spot of impact damage to the styrofoam.
