VERY r
eluctantly selling my vintage early 1970's lawsuit Japan Univox Professional P Bass Clone ( WITH NEW FENDER AMERICAN STANDARD UPGRADED PARTS ! ) . An EXACT DNA Fender P Precision clone. I have a few of these.. The one for sale here has thin modern P style neck & Fender USA 62 pu,Fender RED T-shell, amazing vintage Shaller chrome tuners,etc.. The other one (I will list it separately) is the same as this one, 100% all original but at some point it was de-fretted and frets filled in and it needs some nut/neck area work. I also have a very nice Univox tobacco brown burst Electra violin Beatle / Gibson style bass that I will also list soon.. I had THIS one 100% COMPLETELY rebuilt from the ground up a few years back by one of the VERY best and most respected bass tech/luthier/player around MA. Everything is 100% original but NEW Fender USA American Standard tone & volume pots, jack, wire, Fender 62 pick ups, knobs, strings, ALL new screws, neck was completely cleaned, dressed and rosewood was reconditioned, original frets are nice but some do have some decent wear on a few of them and it could use a dressing and set up. The original nut is VERY worn and needs to be replaced. An extra string tree was added for the A string to prevent any buzzing. Still has the original bridge cover, and the body cavity MAY have been painted inside with some very expen$ive liquid lead paint so it would be VERY quiet. The 1962 RI pickups sound AMAZING and EXACTLY like a 60's-70's Fender P ! VERY warm but on steroids ! The neck screams modern 1970's Fender also. A cross between a P and a Jazz. Thin and fast. VERY comfortable. Neck is nice and straight and stays in tune. My tech told me these vintage Fender style basses absorb any and all moisture early on in life and to go VERY easy on the truss rod as they can break very easily. I haven't played it too much since all the work was done so everything is still perfect. Does have some light wear and tear and a few dings here and there. If you want a vintage Fender P and don't want to pay $5K-$10K, then THIS bass is for you ! Ask anyone who owns one. There is a very good reason why they are called '' Lawsuit guitars''. I always said this bass is '' more Fender than a Fender ! '' I have the original Univox hard shell case but it is def not included in this auction for this price. Price here is for NO case. I have other vintage Japan Univox,etc.. basses.. Please check my other auctions . **** PLEASE NOTE:  THE BASS WILL SHIP WITH THE NECK OFF ! ****
The buyer agrees to pay for ALL shipping and handling related expenses and that ALL sales are final and that NO returns or refunds of any kind will be given. Thank you.
